Our pedagogy is based on the precepts of Maria Montessori, who dedicated her life to the education of children. In our classroom we create a work ambiance conducive to the children’s development, both motor and sensory and to the acquisition of new skills, with enthusiasm, joy, free choice and free movement.
We offer each child the environment they need to satisfy the different stages of their development and thus respond to their sensitive periods, while guiding them towards autonomy and accountability. Mixed age groups allow for peer support and homogeneity between the children, creating mutual stimulation.
We also encourage the child, through our Forest School outings and planting vegetables on the farm, to get closer to and protect Nature. The children thus have the most global view possible of the world around them, allowing them to find their own ressources within themselves, their place in the group (or class) and also outside school, without worrying about being observed by an adult or their classmates.
Pedagogy Montessori
The child’s hand has become the instrument of his brain ; it is the hand which now will help him to develop himself.
An adapted teaching
The child grows in his own rythm, thanks to the individual teaching without fearing the judgement of the adults nor peers.
